Elke von Sivers, born in Zeitz, grew up in Halle-Neustadt. Went to Berlin at the age of 18 and completed her fashion design studies at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee in 1993. Since then she has worked as a costume designer for theatre, opera and film in Leipzig, Bremen, Hanover, Munich, Berlin, Cologne, Stuttgart, Copenhagen, Aalborg, Lucerne and Zurich. In film productions she has worked with directors such as Helene Hegemann, Jovana Reisinger and David Wnendt.
In theatre, she works closely with directors Felix Rothenhäusler and Mirko Borscht.
