RAPHAELA TE PASS is a Munich based screenwriter. Starting out as a team assistant and junior commissioning editor in a film production company, she gained experience and knowledge that led her to the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg where she graduated in 2020 with a degree in Film and Media with a focus on screenwriting.

During her studies, she co-wrote the medium-length short film BLUE SUMMER SYMPHONY (FREIBADSINFONIE), which received praise and awards at film festivals and a nomination for the Student Academy Award. She co-developed the documentary project AFTER THE FUTURE (NACH DER ZUKUNFT) and was delighted for the film to receive an honorable mention in the German Competition of DOK.Leipzig. She also created photonovels for teenagers and children in various horse and animal magazines.

Currently working mainly in Writers’ Rooms, she focuses on topics that amuse or scare her – or even better: both – giggles and goose bumps.

Raphaela te Pass is an alumna of the one-year mentoring programme INTO THE WILD for promising female film-makers.
